Key Responsibilities for Infrastructure Channels Officer Jobs in Lusaka The successful candidate will oversee multiple areas to guarantee robust IT operations and excellent channel performance, including: Infrastructure Management: Maintain IT systems, networks, servers, and hardware to ensure high system uptime, reliability, and optimal performance. Monitor capacity and plan necessary upgrades while implementing cybersecurity controls and data protection measures. Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support infrastructure needs. Channels Management: Ensure all service channels are available and functioning smoothly. Monitor usage, performance, and customer experience, support the rollout of new digital services, troubleshoot channel-related issues, and optimize system-channel integration. System Integration: Facilitate seamless connections between backend systems and customer-facing channels by collaborating with developers and engineers on APIs and interfaces. Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives. Operations & Support: Provide timely technical support during outages or incidents, manage service level agreements (SLAs), and maintain comprehensive documentation and operational procedures. Security & Compliance: Enforce IT policies and security standards, assist with audits and regulatory compliance, and monitor risks across digital channels and infrastructure. Essential Skills and Qualifications To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following: Strong networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, cloud environments, and firewalls. Proficiency in systems administration for Windows and Linux servers. Experience with digital banking or telecommunications platforms. Competence in troubleshooting and incident management. Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity principles. Project management capabilities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems or network administration, or digital banking support. Experience within banking or financial services is advantageous. Certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, Linux, ITIL, or equivalents are a plus.
