Starter Finance Limited, a rapidly expanding financial institution with multiple branches across Zambia, is seeking qualified candidates for assistant loan officer jobs in Mpulungu. We specialize in providing flexible financial solutions tailored to meet the needs of our valued clients. We are currently inviting applications for Assistant Loan Officers to enhance our dynamic team in Mpulungu and Maamba on a contract basis.

About the Assistant Loan Officer Role

The Assistant Loan Officer will play a vital role in supporting the loan and finance team by efficiently processing loan applications and facilitating timely loan disbursements. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities for Assistant Loan Officer Jobs in Mpulungu

  • Collaborate with the loan and finance team to process applications and ensure compliance with loan disbursement procedures.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly loan disbursement reports for the branch.
  • Compile and update Bank/PMEC recovery files and ensure all branch PMEC files are current as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provide financial loan services aimed at increasing loan disbursement and recovery.
  • Conduct marketing fieldwork and submit detailed reports to the supervisor.
  • Maintain routine communication with clients through calls and texts to remind them of payments and refinancing options.
  • Update daily call logs and report activities to directors.
  • Monitor and escalate branch requirements to the supervisor promptly.
  • Participate actively in meetings called by directors or supervisors, contributing valuable insights.
  • Assist clients in completing loan forms and clarify documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate client records and loan files with confidentiality and precision.
  • Deliver prompt customer support by responding to client inquiries effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support branch operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possession of a full Grade GCE certificate.
  • Diploma in Banking & Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients clearly and professionally.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a target-driven environment.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
