Infrastructure & Channels Officer

Job description

Infrastructure & Channels Officer is responsible for ensuring that all technical systems and service channels are stable, secure, efficient and capable of delivering a smooth customer experience to FINCA customers.

Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

•      Maintain IT systems, networks, servers and hardware

•       Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance.

•      Monitor infrastructure capacity and plan upgrades

•      Implement cybersecurity controls and data protection measures.

•      Coordinate with vendors and service providers.

Channels Management

            Ensure availability and smooth functioning of all channels.

•      Monitor usage, performance and customer experience.

•      Support rollout of new digital services.

•      Troubleshoot channels – related issues

•      Optimize integration between systems and channels.

System Integration

•      Ensure backend systems connect seamlessly to customer-facing channels.

•      Work with developers and engineers on APIs and system interfaces.

•      Support digital transformation initiatives.

Operations & Support

•      Provide technical support for outages or incidents.

•      Manage service level agreements (SLAs)

•      Maintain documentation and operational procedures

Security & Compliance

•      Enforce IT policies and security standards

•      Support audits and regulatory requirements

•      Monitor risks across digital channels and infrastructure.

Key Skills Required

•      Networking (LAN/WAN, cloud, firewalls)

•      Systems administration (Windows/Linux servers)

•      Digital banking or telecom platforms knowledge

•      Troubleshooting and incident management

•      Cybersecurity basics

•      Project Management

Qualifications

•      Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Electronics or related field.

•      3–5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Network Administration or Digital Banking Support.

•      Experience in Banking or Financial Services will be an added advantage.

•      CCNA, Microsoft, Linux, ITIL or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage
