Available Consultancy Positions in Solwezi

1. HSE Consultant (2 Positions)

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, Science, or related field
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (minimum); NEBOSH Diploma is an advantage
  • ISO 45001:2018 Lead and Internal Auditor Certifications

Experience & Competencies:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in occupational health and safety management
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing ISO 45001 Management Systems
  • Skilled in conducting HSE audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Experience supporting certification and recertification audits
  • Knowledge of Zambian health and safety legislation and international best practices
  • Strong report writing, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities

2. Environmental Consultant (1 Position)

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources Management, Ecology, Forestry, Climate Change, Geography, or related discipline
  • Master’s Degree is an advantage
  • ISO 14001:2015 Lead and Internal Auditor Certifications
  • Mandatory certifications in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV), Carbon Accounting, and Climate Change or Sustainability-related fields

Experience & Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental management and sustainability consulting
  • Proficient in conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs)
  • Experience developing and implementing Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
  • Skilled in ESG reporting, sustainability frameworks, climate risk assessments, and adaptation planning
  • Knowledgeable in carbon accounting, GHG inventories, emissions quantification, and climate reporting
  • Familiarity with IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 Sustainability Disclosure Standards
  • Strong technical report writing and project management skills

3. Quality Assurance Consultant (1 Position)

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Management, Industrial Management, or related field
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead and Internal Auditor Certifications

Experience & Competencies:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Management Systems
  • Experience developing, implementing, and auditing ISO 9001 Management Systems
  • Skilled in process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience supporting certification audits
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and control principles
  • Excellent documentation and analytical skills

General Requirements for Consultants Jobs in Solwezi

  • Proven consulting experience in mining, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, agriculture, conservation, or industrial sectors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to facilitate training workshops and engage stakeholders effectively
  • Capable of working independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
  • High ethical and professional standards
  • Willingness to travel nationally and regionally as required
