Human Resources Officer Jobs in Lusaka

Falane Solutions Limited invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Human Resources Officer based in Lusaka, Zambia. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience to contribute to the effective management of human resources functions, ensuring compliance with Zambian labour laws and supporting the organization’s HR operations.

Position Overview: Human Resources Officer Jobs in Lusaka

The Human Resources Officer will play a key role in supporting recruitment activities, maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with payroll administration, and facilitating day-to-day HR processes. The successful candidate will help foster a positive work environment while ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with staff recruitment and selection, prepare job advertisements, screen applications, coordinate interviews and induction programs, and prepare employment contracts and onboarding documents.
  • Employee Records & Administration: Maintain up-to-date employee files and HR records, manage attendance and leave, coordinate exit procedures, and ensure confidentiality of HR documentation.
  • Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Support payroll preparation, ensure timely and accurate statutory deductions including NAPSA, NHIMA, and PAYE, and liaise with Finance and relevant authorities as needed.
  • Labour Law & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Zambian labour laws, assist in disciplinary and grievance handling, and support enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
  • Performance Management: Coordinate performance appraisal processes, maintain performance records, and support staff training and development initiatives.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between management and employees, promote a professional work environment, and address employee concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of practical experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and statutory deductions including NAPSA, NHIMA, and PAYE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
