About the Role: Production & Quality Control Manager Jobs in Lusaka

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will oversee all facets of production operations at Umoyo Natural Health. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, developing strategic production plans, and implementing innovative procedures to boost efficiency and product quality. Maintaining strict quality control by inspecting raw materials, in-process items, and finished products is essential to this position. Additionally, you will ensure that all documentation related to tests, inspections, and certifications complies with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end production processes to guarantee smooth operations and adherence to timelines.
• Develop and implement production plans aligned with business goals and market requirements.
• Introduce and refine processes to improve productivity and maintain superior product quality.
• Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of all tests, inspections, and certifications for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare detailed reports on production performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Lead, train, and supervise production staff on quality standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and other departments to optimize workflow and coordination.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience within the Manufacturing, Food, and Consumer Goods (MFCG) sector.
• Proven expertise in quality assurance implementation and production planning.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Experience in quality control is advantageous.
• Certification in quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or HACCP is a plus.
