Specialist, Fixed Asset Management – Fixed Asset Management Jobs in Kalumbila

About the Role – Fixed Asset Management Jobs in Kalumbila

The Specialist, Fuel & Asset Management will play a critical role in supporting the management of fuel and lubricant operations, fuel infrastructure assets, and related commercial projects across the mine site. Reporting to the Fuel Controller, you will ensure accurate inventory control, fuel reconciliation, consumption reporting, quality assurance, asset maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance.

This position requires proficient use of the Pronto ERP/CMMS system to manage asset and fuel data, coordinate maintenance and project activities, monitor operational performance, and assist budgeting and cost control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile fuel receipts with supplier documentation and invoices in the ERP system.
  • Maintain precise inventory records for fuel and lubricants across all storage sites.
  • Track diesel and lubricant transactions prior to ERP posting.
  • Monitor daily stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers between depots.
  • Ensure accurate recording and allocation of all fuel and lubricant consumption.
  • Analyze fuel consumption trends and identify anomalies or improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with mining operations to forecast fuel requirements and consumption patterns.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis related to fuel management.
  • Coordinate fuel sampling, testing programs, and monitor filtration systems.
  • Investigate fuel contamination or quality concerns and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Ensure dispensing meters are calibrated within statutory intervals per SI 55 requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready records and provide documentation during inspections.
  • Supervise contractors and oversee fuel-related projects and service providers.
  • Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans for fuel infrastructure using Pronto CMMS.
  • Maintain asset registers, schedules, and work order records in the CMMS.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure asset availability and reliability.
  • Identify critical spares and long-lead items for fuel infrastructure assets.

Candidate Profile and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of administrative practices and personnel management.
  • Expertise in fuel and inventory management and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Financial reconciliation and cost control skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, including ERP/CMMS administration.
  • Experience in contractor and vendor management, planning, and forecasting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a self-driven approach and strong work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with management and end users.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in fuel management, mining operations, or senior maintenance planning roles.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Power BI and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Pronto.
  • Familiarity with fuel management systems and bulk fuel storage operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related asset management disciplines.
