Job description
Zambezi Steel is hiring an LSF Designer / Structural Design Engineer for its Light Steel Frame (LSF) Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Light Steel Frame structures
- Produce structural calculations and engineering drawings
- Develop manufacturing-ready production drawings
- Design roof trusses, wall frames and floor systems
- Coordinate with architects, engineers and project teams
- Ensure compliance with relevant design standards
- Support manufacturing and site installation teams
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Architectural Technology
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with Light Steel Frame systems is advantageous
- Strong understanding of structural design principles
Desirable Software Experience
- FrameCAD
- Vertex BD
- Tekla Structures
- SAP2000
- ETABS
- STAAD Pro
- Autodesk Revit
- AutoCAD
Preference
- Preference will be given to candidates registered with Zambia Institute of Architects (ZIA), Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ), or Engineering Registration Board (ERB)
