About the Mechanical Fitter Role

The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for assembling and maintaining mechanical plant machinery to ensure optimal operational standards. This role involves interpreting blueprints, fabricating structural components, and performing repairs using welding and various hand and power tools. Candidates will also conduct diagnostic testing to identify and resolve mechanical faults, ensuring all work complies with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Fitter Jobs in Lusaka

• Analyze blueprints to determine specifications for mechanical components.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, pipe installations, and repairs to maintain efficient operations.
• Fabricate structural components from raw materials and weld parts together.

• Membership in the Engineering Institute of Zambia is preferred.
