Job description
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, quality customer retention and service
- Set up attractive displays to encourage customer purchases
- Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labelled
- Conduct daily counts of stock and report shortages
- Dispose of spoiled produce responsibly and record wastage
- Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying quality against supplier invoices
- Help prepare special displays for seasonal fruits and vegetables
- Provide information on storage, preparation and nutritional value of produce
- Follow workplace safety rules when handling crates, knives or cleaning equipment
- Maintain logs of stock rotation, cleaning schedules and quality checks
- Support colleagues in other departments when needed
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate or Diploma in food or hospitality
- 1-2 years of experience in fruit and veg production
- Basic knowledge in fruit and veg preparation
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
- Candidates should be medically fit
Skills and Other Requirements
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stay calm and focused
- Interpersonal skills
- Supervisory skills and ability to train employees to use time efficiently
- Physical Exam Required: Medical Report and Police Clearance
