Bakery Assistant

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality customer retention and service
• Assist in preparing dough, batters and fillings for breads, cakes, pastries and other baked goods
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Serve customers, weigh, package and label bakery items, and give advice on baking and preparation
• Keep work areas spotless and operate cutting machinery safely
• Display baked goods attractively in windows or cabinets

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bakery production certification
• 1-2 years of experience in bakery production
• Basic knowledge in bakery/confectionery food preparation
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
• Candidates should be medically fit

Skills and Other Requirements

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to stay calm and focused
• Interpersonal skills
• Supervisory skills and ability to train employees to use time efficiently
• Physical Exam Required: Medical Report and Police Clearance
