Trainee Manager / Store Manager

Region: Copperbelt / Lusaka
The role is responsible for providing efficient, quality customer retention and service.
Trainee Manager Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring staff performance and discipline.
- Support customer service initiatives and resolve minor complaints.
- Prepare daily and weekly sales reports under guidance.
- Conduct stock counts and assist in replenishment.
- Ensure shelves are neat, clean, and well-stocked.
- Shadow the Store Manager to gain leadership experience.
Store Manager Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and growth strategies.
- Oversee budgets, cashflow, and expense control.
- Conduct staff appraisals and set performance targets.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, labour laws, and safety standards.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Drive promotions, advertising, and community engagement.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and operational challenges.
- Mentor Trainee Managers and prepare them for future roles.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail, or related field.
- One to two (1-2) years’ experience in fruit and veg production.
- Basic knowledge in the retail industry.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
- Candidate should be medically fit.
Other Requirements
Physical exam required: medical report and police clearance.
