Trainee Manager / Store Manager

The role is responsible for providing efficient, quality customer retention and service.

Trainee Manager Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring staff performance and discipline.
  • Support customer service initiatives and resolve minor complaints.
  • Prepare daily and weekly sales reports under guidance.
  • Conduct stock counts and assist in replenishment.
  • Ensure shelves are neat, clean, and well-stocked.
  • Shadow the Store Manager to gain leadership experience.

Store Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and growth strategies.
  • Oversee budgets, cashflow, and expense control.
  • Conduct staff appraisals and set performance targets.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, labour laws, and safety standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Drive promotions, advertising, and community engagement.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and operational challenges.
  • Mentor Trainee Managers and prepare them for future roles.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail, or related field.
  • One to two (1-2) years’ experience in fruit and veg production.
  • Basic knowledge in the retail industry.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
  • Candidate should be medically fit.

Other Requirements

Physical exam required: medical report and police clearance.
