About the Role: Operations & Logistics Assistant Jobs in Lusaka
As an Operations & Logistics Assistant, you will play a vital role in coordinating logistics activities, managing transport operations, and supporting warehousing functions. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery within the supply chain.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Proficient IT and computer skills to support operational tasks
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in logistics, transport coordination, warehousing, or administrative support
- Familiarity with import and export procedures
- Knowledge of trucking operations, fleet monitoring, and transport management
- Understanding of regional clearing and forwarding procedures is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
- CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) certification or equivalent logistics training
- Experience in warehouse operations and transport monitoring
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous record-keeping ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
