About the Purchasing Lead Role

As Purchasing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing procurement activities across both core and non-core categories. Your leadership will ensure cost-effective purchasing, compliance with company policies, and adherence to local regulations. • Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier management, sourcing, and contract negotiation.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, purchasing processes, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of procurement compliance, internal controls, and vendor onboarding procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
