Key Responsibilities for Driver Trainer Jobs in Chisamba

• Develop and deliver practical driving lessons customized to cover all essential driving skills.
• Provide detailed instruction on vehicle parts, functions, and on-road regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for drivers under training.
• Report all accidents and incidents promptly to the logistics and workshop manager.
• Keep driver training folders and records up to date for current drivers.
• Collaborate with the logistics manager in recruiting and selecting new drivers.
• Lead weekly toolbox meetings to reinforce safety and operational standards.
• Conduct post-accident behind-the-wheel re-training sessions as necessary.
• Update and maintain driver training manuals and materials related to transportation safety.
• Organize and implement safety meetings in coordination with the Environmental Safety Manager and Logistics Manager.
• Accompany driving routes and field trips as required.
• Provide daily supervision to assigned drivers to ensure consistent adherence to duties and safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Grade GCE/12 Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Possession of a basic valid Driving License.
• Valid Driving License appropriate for the vehicle categories taught.
• Certified Driving Instructor’s License or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience as a driving instructor with a clear driving record.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and judgment skills.
• Good physical condition, including excellent hearing and vision.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods and adapt to varying driving conditions.
