Role Overview for Sales and Marketing Manager Jobs in Zambia

This part-time role (up to 30 hours per week) blends remote work with attendance at our State Lodge offices. The Sales & Marketing Manager will lead efforts to boost sales, secure new business, and enhance Mwabu’s brand as a leader in rural EdTech solutions. Reporting directly to the Country Director, you will collaborate closely on strategic initiatives and operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth across government, donor, NGO, and private sector markets
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
  • Develop and implement integrated sales and marketing strategies across the Mwabu Group
  • Strengthen Mwabu’s brand positioning as a leader in rural EdTech solutions
  • Represent Mwabu at stakeholder meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Lead and support sales and marketing teams across the Group
  • Track performance metrics, manage budgets, and report on business results

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or business development
  • Proven experience working with government institutions, NGOs, donors, or institutional clients
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for education, innovation, and social impact
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
