About the Safety Manager Role As Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. You will lead the development and enforcement of health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and drive initiatives that promote a culture of safety across all operational areas. This full-time position offers the chance to apply your expertise in occupational health and safety within a dynamic industrial setting. Key Responsibilities for Safety Manager Jobs in Lusaka Develop, implement, and continuously monitor health and safety policies and procedures aligned with industry standards. Ensure full compliance with statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards. Lead thorough incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to all staff levels. Champion a proactive safety culture throughout all operational departments. Prepare detailed safety reports and provide strategic advice to management on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance improvements. Qualifications and Experience Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certification in Health and Safety is highly advantageous. Proven track record as a Safety Manager within manufacturing, steel production, fabrication, mining, or similar heavy industries. Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices. Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits. Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
