Human Resources Officer Jobs in Monze: Role Overview

The Human Resources Officer will play a pivotal role in managing all facets of employee relations and HR administration. This position demands a proactive individual with a strong understanding of Zambian labour laws and human resource best practices to support our workforce effectively.

• Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction processes
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
• Manage leave administration, attendance tracking, and payroll inputs
• Ensure compliance with local labour legislation and company policies
• Coordinate disciplinary actions and grievance procedures
• Support performance management and staff development initiatives
• Prepare HR reports and statutory submissions
• Facilitate training and development programs
• Provide general HR support to management and employees

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in human resource management
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is mandatory
• Comprehensive knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience within the mining sector is advantageous

United Gypsum Investment Limited is also recruiting for the following positions to support our operational excellence:

Bulldozer Operator (2 Positions)

• Operate bulldozers safely and efficiently according to company standards
• Perform excavation, leveling, clearing, and material handling tasks
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report defects promptly
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and proper maintenance
• Adhere strictly to mine safety regulations and environmental policies
• Support production targets as directed by supervisors

Requirements:

• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent
• Valid Bulldozer Operator Certificate
• 3 to 5 years’ experience operating bulldozers, preferably in mining
• Knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety standards
• Physically fit to work in demanding mining environments

Key Attributes: Safety-conscious, reliable, able to work independently, strong teamwork and communication skills.

Boilermaker (2 Positions)

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures and mining equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Perform welding, cutting, and maintenance work as required
• Inspect equipment for defects and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with mine safety standards
• Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition

Qualifications and Experience:

• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication, or related field
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices
• Membership in a relevant professional body is an advantage
