Job description
ECZ District Electoral Trainers Recruitment 2026
The Electoral Commission of Zambia wishes to engage 2,600 suitably qualified Zambians for the position of District Election Trainers countrywide. The trainers will be engaged on a part-time basis to train poll staff for the 2026 General Election.
Reporting to: District Electoral Officer
Main Accountability: Training of poll staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure training materials are adequate.
- Coordinate packing and distribution of training materials.
- Train and evaluate poll staff.
- Assist in the recruitment of poll staff.
- Prepare and submit training reports.
- Perform any other election duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent with passes in English and Mathematics.
- Minimum Diploma in a relevant field from a recognised institution.
- Registered voter in possession of a green National Registration Card.
- Ready to work in any district within the province of residence.
- Conversant with Zambian electoral practices and procedures.
- Five years experience in facilitation or training.
- Proven experience as a trainer in elections will be an added advantage.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, planning and organising skills.
- Good planning and organising skills.
- Able to implement training programmes at short notice.
- Self-starter, driven and motivated.
- Ability to work with initiative and innovation while observing electoral laws, policies and guidelines.
