The Manager, Technology Operations, serves as the operational backbone of Dot Com Zambia PLC. This critical role ensures that all systems, products, and technology services remain reliable, secure, and effective to support business goals. The position encompasses management of internal systems and business operations, DCZ’s proprietary products and platforms, as well as client solutions and managed services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial and Operations Officer, the successful candidate will lead the technology operations team and oversee the day-to-day management of live systems, driving continuous improvement as the company expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage corporate IT infrastructure, including user access, software licenses, endpoints, and workplace technology to ensure seamless business operations.
• Collaborate with clients, sales, engineering, and stakeholders to design practical, supportable solutions aligned with client needs.
• Oversee infrastructure and data management, including security, monitoring, backup and recovery, access control, and incident response.
• Operate and support DCZ’s products in production, including the eTolls system, ensuring stability, security, and ongoing enhancement.
• Deliver managed services and client support by providing technical management, customer support, and issue resolution.
• Lead the technical support desk as the first point of contact for system issues, ensuring timely logging, prioritization, communication, and resolution.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of five years’ experience in technology operations, IT management, systems administration, or a related leadership role.
• Strong understanding of leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery, and customer experience.
• Proven experience managing critical business systems, technology services, or digital products in live environments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with users, clients, and stakeholders, translating operational needs into effective technology solutions.
• Superior written and verbal communication abilities, including documentation, reporting, and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating operational issue resolution.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field is required.
