Regional Sales Agronomist Jobs in Zambia – AMAC Seed Zambia Limited

AMAC Seed Zambia Limited is seeking two dynamic and experienced Sales Agronomists to join our Sales and Marketing team on a contract basis. These regional sales agronomist jobs in Zambia offer an exciting opportunity to drive seed sales growth, provide expert agronomic support, and strengthen our market presence across the Central & Copperbelt, Northern, and North Western Provinces.

Position Overview

The Sales Agronomist will report directly to the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for promoting AMAC Seed Zambia Limited’s products while delivering technical agronomic advice to distributors, agro-dealers, and farmers. This role blends commercial sales expertise with agronomic knowledge to enhance customer satisfaction, expand market share, and support sustainable agricultural development.

Key Responsibilities for Regional Sales Agronomist Jobs in Zambia

  • Sales Growth and Market Development: Implement territory sales plans, recruit and maintain agro-dealers and distributors, monitor product availability, and conduct regular market visits to boost seed sales.
  • Agronomic and Technical Support: Provide crop production advice, manage demonstration plots, organize farmer training and field days, and resolve seed performance issues promptly.
  • Marketing and Demand Creation: Support marketing campaigns, participate in agricultural events, conduct product awareness initiatives, and offer market intelligence to inform strategy.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, NGOs, and institutional clients, ensuring effective after-sales support and accurate sales records.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare timely activity reports, maintain sales and demonstration records, support stock monitoring, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in seed sales, agronomy, or agricultural input marketing.
  • Valid driver’s license with practical driving experience.
  • Membership in the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM) or relevant agricultural professional bodies is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of seed systems, crop production, and the Zambian agricultural market.

Skills and Attributes

  • Proven sales and negotiation skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform under pressure.
  • Competent in report writing and delivering technical presentations.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
  • High professional integrity and a team-oriented approach.

Working Conditions and Authority

This field-based role requires frequent travel within the Central & Copperbelt, Northern, and North Western Provinces, with occasional weekend work during agricultural events. The Sales Agronomist will operate within company policies, managing territory sales, customer engagement, market development, and reporting responsibilities.
