Job Title: Intern x 1 (Kasama)
Reports to: Consumer Affairs Officer – Northern Region
Company: Energy Regulation Board (ERB)

Background
The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) is a statutory body established under the Energy Regulation Act, No. 12 of 2019, to regulate the energy sector by licensing undertakings and ensuring consumers receive quality products and services while ensuring a reasonable rate of return to the energy utilities. The ERB seeks to recruit a dynamic and suitably qualified person to fill the position of Consumer Affairs Intern at the Northern Region Office in Kasama.

Job Purpose
To provide support to the Consumer Affairs Section and perform other administrative duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
– Assist with recording and filing documents.
– Perform front desk operations.
– Provide support during stakeholder engagement activities.
– Assist in processing consumer complaints.
– Perform any other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications
– Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
– A minimum diploma in Public Relations, Public Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or related Social Science/Business course.
– Preferably a resident of Kasama.
– Applicants must have graduated not earlier than 1st January 2023.

Duration of Internship
Initial five (5) months with the possibility of an extension.
