LAKE TRANS LOGISTICS LIMITED is currently inviting applications for the position of Accounts Assistant at its Ndola office, located in the Copperbelt region of Zambia. We are looking for a qualified and motivated professional to join our team in this full-time role, contributing to the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of our logistics operations. Role Overview: Accounts Assistant Jobs in Ndola
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the finance department by assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records. Key duties include processing invoices and payments, performing reconciliations, and monitoring expenses related to fuel, trips, and operations. You will also support monthly financial reporting and audits, maintain accurate accounting documentation, and collaborate closely with operations and other departments to ensure financial matters are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining comprehensive financial records.
- Process invoices, payments, and perform account reconciliations accurately.
- Monitor fuel, trip, and operational expenses to support budget control.
- Support monthly financial reporting and audit processes.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and filing systems.
- Coordinate with operations and other departments on financial transactions and queries.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least two years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within logistics or transport sectors.
- Knowledge of road transport operations in Zambia, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Tally.
