WE’RE HIRING: KITCHEN ASSISTANTS (3)

Fratelli’s Diner is looking for hardworking, reliable and disciplined Kitchen Assistants to join our team.

We are looking for applicants who have worked before and understand workplace discipline, timekeeping, cleanliness, teamwork and the importance of reporting for work consistently.

This is a busy kitchen environment, so applicants must be able to work under pressure, follow instructions and maintain high hygiene standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
Support cooks with basic cooking and preparation tasks when required.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils and equipment.
Wash dishes and ensure proper storage of clean kitchenware.
Assist with stock-taking and proper organization of ingredients and supplies.
Follow hygiene and food safety procedures at all times.
Dispose of kitchen waste properly.
Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized and ready for service.
Requirements:
Must have previous work experience.
Grade 12 certificate with at least six subjects passed.
At least one distinction is preferred.
Experience in a restaurant, food business, catering or hospitality environment is an added advantage.
Must be able to work efficiently under pressure.
Must have strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
Must be disciplined, reliable and able to report for work consistently.
Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others.
Good communication and teamwork skills are required.
Staying close to Olympia is an added advantage.
References from previous employers will be an added advantage.
