Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Accountant Jobs in Chambishi

• Maintain precise records of stock receipts, issues, transfers, and balances to ensure accuracy.
• Perform regular reconciliation of physical stock against system records on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
• Prepare comprehensive warehouse inventory reports and analyze stock variance reports.
• Verify documentation including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), invoices, delivery notes, and issue vouchers.
• Monitor inventory levels and support effective stock control management.
• Participate in scheduled stock counts and assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure strict compliance with company financial procedures and mine warehouse controls.
• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Accounts, and Stores departments regarding inventory transactions.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, reporting findings promptly to management.
• Maintain organized filing and documentation for all warehouse transactions.

Qualifications and Competencies Required

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of experience in warehouse accounting, preferably within the mining industry.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and accounting software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant computer applications.
• Solid understanding of mining warehouse procedures and stock control measures.
• Demonstrated integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently and manage pressure effectively.
