Job description
Trophy Bearer / Trophy Presenter
The official title for individuals who carry the physical awards on stage. They often stand behind or beside the guest presenter, holding the award until the winner is announced.
Stage Host / Hostess
These professionals facilitate the flow on stage, ensuring the correct trophy is handed to the presenter at the exact moment the winner is named.
Trophy Officer / Custodian
A behind-the-scenes career focused on the inventory, engraving, and safe transport of all physical awards to the venue.
Runner
A high-speed coordination role that retrieves presenters from their tables or dressing rooms and ensures trophies are delivered to the stage hands at the right time.
Stage Assistant
A versatile role responsible for maintaining the ‘award table’ on the side of the stage, ensuring trophies are clean and arranged in the correct order of the script.
Award Usher
While general ushers manage the audience, ‘stage ushers’ specifically escort winners to the podium and guide them back to their seats after the presentation to prevent congestion on stage.
