About the Role – Electrician Jobs in Ndola

As an Electrician at AB InBev, you will play a critical role in supporting the operations and maintenance of our Packaging Line. Your expertise will ensure efficient problem-solving and smooth functioning of electrical systems. This full-time position involves working closely with shift teams to maintain, repair, and optimize plant equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in maintenance planning meetings, providing input and clarifying tasks.
  • Execute planned, routine, and opportunity maintenance according to schedules.
  • Report incomplete work to the Maintenance Planner for rescheduling or prioritization.
  • Support team members during maintenance windows and assist in problem-solving efforts.
  • Complete administrative duties, including COSWIN system updates related to maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and inspections following the maintenance schedule.
  • Verify that running repairs effectively resolve issues and communicate outstanding repairs for future planning.
  • Analyze machine performance, identify losses, and develop improvement plans.
  • Provide specialist support and coaching to shift-based teams on machine operation and fault finding.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, conduct inspections, and promote safe working practices.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and apply 5S principles during daily tasks.
  • Operate workshop equipment and participate in standby duties as per roster.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Trade Tested N3 Electrical qualification.
  • Electrical Artisan certification with trade testing completed.
  • Minimum 2-3 months of on-the-job training; ideally 3-6 months.
  • 1-2 years’ experience as an Electrical Artisan in a similar industrial environment.
  • Electrical trade knowledge combined with Controls & Automation (C&A) skills.
  • Strong management and people-handling abilities.
  • Mental alertness with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to function as a subject matter expert and contribute to plant optimization trials.
