Electrical Chief Engineer Opportunities in Zambia

We are recruiting one Electrical Chief Engineer to oversee the comprehensive planning, design, operation, and maintenance of our enterprise’s power systems. The successful candidate will lead electrical safety initiatives, manage fault resolution for high-voltage and low-voltage systems, and supervise the installation and upkeep of electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and manage the enterprise-wide power system operations and maintenance.
• Develop and enforce electrical safety operating procedures.
• Handle electrical faults across high-voltage and low-voltage networks.
• Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Lead and mentor the electrical technical team, providing training and technical support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation, or related disciplines.
• Possession of a Zambian or internationally recognized Electrical Engineer or Electrical Chief Engineer certification.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Chief Engineer or equivalent in large industrial enterprises within Zambia, such as mines, manufacturing plants, or large farms.
• Expertise in high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution, transformers, motors, and protection systems.
• Strong management skills, safety awareness, and emergency response capabilities.
• Ability to adapt to mining or industrial on-site working environments with a high sense of responsibility.

Mechanical Equipment Operator Positions Available in Zambia

GFIL is also looking to fill 26 Mechanical Equipment Operator roles, including Excavator Operators, Bulldozer Operators, Loader Operators, Road Roller Operators, and Truck Drivers specializing in dump and heavy trucks.

Available Positions:

• 8 Excavator Operators
• 4 Bulldozer Operators
• 4 Loader Operators
• 2 Road Roller Operators
• 8 Truck Drivers (Dump Truck / Heavy Truck)

General Requirements for Equipment Operators:

• Valid equipment operation qualification certificate (copy required).
• Proven practical experience with strong operational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic, responsibility, and adaptability to outdoor, shift, and mining or construction site environments.
• Male candidates preferred due to the physically demanding nature and remote work conditions.
