As the HR & Administration Manager, you will provide comprehensive leadership across the entire employee lifecycle for the Zambia team. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will spearhead strategic talent acquisition initiatives to attract top-tier candidates and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. Your role will be pivotal in cultivating a vibrant, inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and retention.
You will also champion growth and performance by designing and implementing effective training programs, performance management systems, and talent development solutions. Additionally, you will oversee critical HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, and data analysis while offering expert guidance on complex employee relations and ensuring compliance with labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end people management, serving as a strategic partner for the Zambia team.
- Develop and execute innovative recruitment and onboarding strategies to attract high-caliber talent.
- Drive initiatives that enhance employee experience, promote inclusivity, and improve retention rates.
- Design and deliver impactful training, performance management, and professional development programs.
- Manage core HR functions including payroll, benefits, and HR data insights.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, compliance, and legal matters to ensure adherence to labour laws.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HR management within the microfinance sector.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of labour laws and proven ability to maintain full compliance.
- Demonstrated success in recruitment, performance management, and staff training design.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of building trust across all organizational levels.
- High ethical standards with strong problem-solving abilities and discretion in handling sensitive information.
