Position Overview

This full-time role is offered on a fixed-term contract basis for three years. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of petroleum products through rigorous laboratory testing and audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing of petroleum samples to verify compliance with established standards.
  • Conduct depot quality audits and investigate complaints related to petroleum products.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory sample databases and equipment maintenance records.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and that laboratory procedures remain current.
  • Provide expert technical advice on analytical procedures and laboratory instrumentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate with at least five credits.
  • Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific fields.
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related sciences is advantageous.
  • Between 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in laboratory analysis or a similar field.
  • Verification of qualifications by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
