This full-time position requires a nurturing individual who can ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the children while maintaining the household’s daily operations.

Position Overview: Live-in Nanny Maid Jobs in Lusaka

The core purpose of this role is to deliver attentive childcare combined with general housekeeping duties. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering the children’s development and well-being, while also supporting the household’s smooth functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Childcare & Supervision: Maintain constant vigilance to guarantee children’s safety at home, playgrounds, and during outings.
• Engagement & Development: Plan and lead age-appropriate educational activities, including playtime, reading, crafts, and excursions to support developmental milestones.
• Transportation: Safely transport children to and from school, appointments, activities, and playdates, provided a valid driver’s license is held.
• Health & Well-being: Monitor children’s health, administer medication as directed, and promptly communicate any concerns to parents.
• Child-Related Housekeeping: Launder and organize children’s clothing and toys; clean up after meals and activities involving the children.
• General Household Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, changing bed linens, and tidying common areas.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the family.
• Errands & Shopping: Manage household errands including grocery shopping and picking up dry cleaning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience working with children in a private home setting; references are essential.
• Prior housekeeping experience is highly valued but not mandatory.
• Strong childcare skills with knowledge of child development stages.
• Cooking ability and proficiency in routine housekeeping tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Trustworthy, reliable, patient, nurturing, energetic, proactive, discreet, and adaptable personality.
• Genuine passion for working with children.
• Clean criminal background check required.
