Role Overview for Assistant Human Resource Officer Jobs in Kitwe
Reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager/Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the HR department. This position involves managing employee records, processing HR documentation, and preparing reports on various personnel activities including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and performance evaluations.
The Assistant Human Resource Officer will also coordinate HR projects such as meetings, training sessions, and surveys, while addressing employee inquiries related to human resources policies, rules, and regulations. Handling complaints and grievance procedures with professionalism and discretion is essential. Additionally, the role requires coordinating communications with job candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting recruiters in sourcing and updating candidate databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day HR functions and administrative duties.
- Maintain and update comprehensive employee records.
- Prepare and process documentation and reports related to personnel activities.
- Coordinate HR projects including meetings, training, and employee surveys.
- Respond to employee requests regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Manage complaints and grievance procedures effectively.
- Facilitate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
- Support recruiters by sourcing candidates and maintaining the recruitment database.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a human resources role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
