Role Overview – Tyre Fitter Position

As a Tyre Fitter based at our Sakania Yard in Ndola, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the fleet’s tyres to guarantee safety and reliability. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and extend tyre life through thorough inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities for Tyre Fitter Jobs in Ndola

• Remove, fit, and replace tyres on trucks and various vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Inspect tyres for wear, damage, punctures, and pressure issues, performing necessary repairs.
• Maintain correct tyre pressure and ensure proper wheel alignment when required.
• Conduct tyre rotations to promote even wear and prolong tyre lifespan.
• Record tyre serial numbers accurately and submit documentation to the store for inventory management.
• Assist with other repair and maintenance tasks within the department as needed.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate is mandatory.
• A Trade or Craft Certificate is advantageous but not essential.
• At least three years of maintenance experience, ideally within transport or logistics sectors.
• Residency in Ndola is required, or willingness to relocate to the area.
• Basic mechanical knowledge will be considered a valuable asset.
