Job description

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 

Stewards Globe Limited t/a Afriseed, one of the leading agricultural companies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, ICT to lead our ICT team and drive digital transformation within the organisation. The position reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is a fixed term contract on an initial 24 months renewable subject to the terms and conditions. 

Summary Responsibilities 

• Developing and implementing ICT strategies aligned with Company business goals, lead ICT related projects ensuring timely and effective execution, policies and procedures and mitigation of ICT risks. 

• Identification and analysis of ICT Systems and Services user requirements, identify and implement continuous improvement strategies 

• Reviewing, preparation and implementation of ICT Systems and Services Architectural, High Level and/or Detailed designs, oversee software development plans and programmes 

• Overseeing planning and implementation of ICT projects, ICT development plans and integration, manage and maintain ICT infrastructure  

• Reviewing and mitigating ICT Systems and Services vulnerabilities, proactively manage backups and disaster recovery plans, perform adaptive maintenance and business continuity measures 

• Forecasting and budgeting for both operational and capital ICT requirement in the company and implement cost reduction initiatives 

• Developing and implementing IT Service Management Frameworks and IT Governance Controls for effective delivery of ICT Services and control of ICT risks. 

• Managing team performance through implementation of the individual performance contracts aligned to business goals 

Required Minimum Education/training:  

• Minimum Degree in Computer Science or relevant field. 

• Grade12 certificate  

• Member of ICTAZ 

Required Minimum Work Experience: 

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in IT Management in environment with 50+ system users or more or equivalent senior role. 

• Required minimum three (3) years’ experience in managing both the enterprise-wide ERP systems such as SAP, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics and enterprise-wide networks spanning over at least 5 geographically separate sites/locations 

Desirable Knowledge and Personal Qualities: 

• Integrity and honesty, attention to details and results oriented a MUST 

• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the IT Governance and Control Frameworks such as COSO, CoBIT, ISO, IT Service Management Frameworks such as ITIL, ISO, CoBIT, ToGAF, MOF, IT Project Management Frameworks such as Agile, PRINCE, KanBan, PmBOK, Six Sigma. 

• Analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support of ICT Business Systems such as ERP, HRMIS, Email Messaging and Web Applications, Microsoft and Linux based servers, TCP/IP networking, VPN, Intrusion Detection and Firewalls, Microsoft Active Directory, End User Computing and Printing, Microsoft SQL and MySQL databases, NoSQL databases and document stores for Web Applications.
