Job description
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods, equipment, and staff
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of materials to and from clients and branches
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tyres, brakes, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of assigned vehicle
- Ensure proper loading, securing, and offloading of goods
- Adhere to all road traffic laws and company driving policies
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and fuel usage reports
- Report any vehicle faults, accidents, or incidents immediately
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and coordination of servicing
- Follow all safety procedures, including company policies (e.g., no alcohol policy)
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Valid driver’s license (appropriate class for vehicle type)
- Clean driving record
- Minimum of 6-10 years’ driving experience
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
