JOB ADVERTISEMENT — ZAMBIA SUGAR PLC
Manufacturing Department | Nakambala
Zambia Sugar Plc, an ABF Group company and Zambia’s leading sugar producer, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following permanent positions:
1. INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN (x1) — PERMANENT
Manufacturing Department, Nakambala
Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman – Instruments, the successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining pneumatic and mechanical instruments, including stripping, replacing, adjusting, calibrating, reassembling and checking the function of parts.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 Certificate
Diploma in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a heavy industry environment
Experience in the sugar industry is an added advantage
Training and experience in industrial instrumentation as a minimum
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
ZAQA-verified certificates required
2. HANDYMAN WELDER — INSTRUMENTATION (x1) — PERMANENT
Manufacturing Department, Nakambala
Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman – Instrumentation, the successful candidate will assist instrumentation technicians and artisans in selecting, installing, fabricating, welding, fitting, setting up, testing, fault-finding, repairing and maintaining instrumentation and control systems across all areas of Zambia Sugar Plc.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 Certificate
Level 1 / Grade 5 Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication/Welding
Experience in repairing air service auto drains
Experience servicing motion sensors
Experience repairing and servicing instrumentation valves
Welding and fabrication experience is an added advantage
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
ZAQA-verified certificates required
