About the Safety Officer Role in Lusaka
As a Safety Officer based in Lusaka, you will be instrumental in promoting and maintaining occupational health and safety within the workplace. Reporting to the Senior Safety Manager, you will lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in safety management who are eager to support a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Key Responsibilities for Safety Officer Jobs in Lusaka
- Conduct comprehensive workplace safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Organize and facilitate safety training sessions and toolbox talks to enhance employee awareness.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
- Monitor workplace equipment and conditions, proposing safety improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and company policies at all times.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a safety officer or related role.
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
- Valid practicing certificate as a Health and Safety Officer.
- Proficiency in computer applications and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong organizational skills.

Salary: Up to K11,500
2. Safety Officer – Lusaka (2 Positions)
Salary: Up to K6,600
