Electrical Technician Jobs in Mazabuka – Zambia Sugar Plc

Zambia Sugar Plc, a subsidiary of ABF Sugar and the leading sugar producer in Zambia, is seeking qualified and motivated professionals for electrical technician jobs in Mazabuka. These full-time positions form part of the Twazabuka Project operation readiness team within the Manufacturing Department, located at Nakambala Estate, Mazabuka, Southern Zambia.

Available Electrical Technician Positions in Mazabuka

We invite applications for the following roles:

1. Day Shift Electrical Technician (1 Position)

Job Purpose: Perform planned maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical assets including control systems, motors, drives, panels, and packaging plant infrastructure.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  • Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy industry or FMCG environment
  • At least 2 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagnose control circuits
  • Knowledge of PLC/DCS systems and CMMS
  • ZAQA verified certificates are mandatory

2. Shift Instrumentation Technician (1 Position)

Job Purpose: Restore instrumented systems efficiently and safely while ensuring plant reliability and operational continuity.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  • Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG or sugar industry environment
  • Experience with calibration tools, PLC/DCS loop checks, and CMMS
  • Strong SHERQ and Food Safety discipline
  • ZAQA verified certificates are mandatory

3. Day Shift Mechanical Technician (1 Position)

Job Purpose: Conduct planned maintenance, precision repairs, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements of mechanical assets within the packing operation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum Trade Test Fitter or Mechanical qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG or sugar industry environment
  • Knowledge of calibration tools, loop diagrams, and CMMS systems
  • Strong SHERQ and Food Safety discipline
  • ZAQA verified certificates are mandatory

Key Responsibilities for Electrical Technician Jobs in Mazabuka

  • Execute planned maintenance and troubleshooting activities on electrical and mechanical systems
  • Prepare permits, isolations, tools, and spare parts required for maintenance tasks
  • Ensure strict compliance with SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) and Food Safety standards
