Key Responsibilities for Procurement Officer Jobs in Lusaka
- Ensure the timely delivery of procured materials and services to meet operational needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and address quality issues to enhance delivery efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and finance departments to align procurement activities.
- Track purchase orders and proactively resolve any shortages or delays.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to optimize processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- At least two years of procurement experience, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in MRO or spare parts sourcing.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively across departments.
- Demonstrated responsibility, accountability, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure.
