Job description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented to fill in the vacant position of Laboratory Raw Material Inspector at our concrete plant in Lusaka. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials to ensure they meet required quality standards before production use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test raw materials used in concrete production
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Record and analyze test results accurately
  • Report any material defects or inconsistencies
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper usage
  • Support quality control processes within the plant

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience working in a material inspection laboratory, preferably in a mixing or concrete plant
  • Strong practical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum of a Grade 12 certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Degree in Civil Engineering/Materials Engineering/Materials Science/Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry.
  • Proven experience in a cement plant
  • Additional technical qualifications are an added advantage
  • Prior experience in a similar role will be highly preferred

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
