About the Driver Role

As a driver at Nemchem International Limited, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles safely and efficiently. Your duties will include ensuring the prompt delivery and collection of materials to and from clients and various branches, conducting thorough daily vehicle inspections, and maintaining the vehicle’s cleanliness and condition. You will also play a key role in securing loads properly and adhering strictly to all road traffic laws and company driving policies.

In addition to driving responsibilities, you will maintain accurate records such as delivery logs and fuel usage reports, report any vehicle faults or incidents immediately, and assist with basic vehicle maintenance and servicing coordination. Safety compliance is paramount, including adherence to company policies such as the no alcohol policy.

Key Responsibilities for Driver Jobs in Lusaka

• Operate company vehicles to transport goods, equipment, and staff safely
• Ensure timely delivery and collection of materials to clients and branches
• Conduct daily inspections covering fuel, oil, tires, brakes, and overall vehicle condition
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles
• Properly load, secure, and offload goods to prevent damage
• Comply with all road traffic laws and internal driving policies
• Keep accurate delivery records, logbooks, and fuel reports
• Report any vehicle faults, accidents, or incidents without delay

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type

• Minimum of 6 to 10 years’ professional driving experience
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
