Position Overview for Accountant Jobs in Lusaka

We are searching for a detail-oriented Accountant to oversee our financial operations, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the financial integrity of our company. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with a background in accounting or finance who thrive in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
  • Maintain comprehensive accounting records and perform reconciliations
  • Oversee premium collections and timely remittances to insurers
  • Ensure segregation of client funds in line with regulatory standards
  • Prepare regulatory returns and assist with internal and external audits

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA membership)
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Experience within the insurance or financial sector is advantageous
