About the Human Resource Officer Role As a Human Resource Officer at CCECC under the TAZARA project, you will play a pivotal role in managing comprehensive HR functions across project sites. This full-time position demands a proactive approach to human capital management and employee relations. Key Responsibilities of the Human Resource Officer Lead recruitment and selection activities including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases Administer payroll inputs, employee benefits, and leave management effectively Ensure strict adherence to Zambian labor laws and internal HR policies Support performance management processes such as appraisals and development plans Manage employee relations, addressing grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution Coordinate and facilitate staff training and development programs Prepare detailed HR reports and provide actionable insights to management Promote workplace health, safety, and employee well-being initiatives Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline At least three years of experience in a human resource role, preferably within construction, engineering, or large infrastructure projects Comprehensive knowledge of Zambian labor laws and HR best practices Membership in the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is advantageous Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and handle sensitive information discreetly Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail Capacity to multitask and perform under pressure How to Apply for Human Resource Officer Jobs in Lusaka Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV along with a cover letter explaining their suitability for the role.
