Job description

Job Purpose

To drive loan business growth through strategic client acquisition and accurate application processing while maintaining high portfolio quality and strict data integrity within the payroll-based lending framework.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Execute structured marketing visits and product awareness sessions at approved employer institutions.
  • Identify eligible clients and achieve monthly/quarterly disbursement targets in line with policy guidelines.
  • Support the onboarding of new employer partners and maintain productive relationships with HR and payroll officers.

2. Loan Processing & Data Integrity (Critical)

  • Guide clients through the application process and verify the completeness of all required documentation (NRC, payslips, bank details, and authorization forms).
  • Conduct preliminary affordability assessments to ensure deductions fall within approved thresholds.
  • Accurately capture legal names, NRC, payroll, and bank data into the loan management system to ensure zero duplication and seamless deductions.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic files, ensuring any data entry errors are corrected immediately.

3. Portfolio Monitoring & Collections

  • Monitor repayment performance and follow up on arrears within 24–48 hours.
  • Liaise with employer payroll departments to resolve deduction issues promptly.
  • Actively participate in recovery efforts for delinquent accounts to maintain Portfolio at Risk (PAR) within company thresholds.

4. Compliance, Risk & Reporting

  • Strictly adhere to internal credit policies and verify document authenticity to prevent fraud.
  • Ensure the absolute confidentiality of all client information.
  • Submit daily activity logs, weekly pipeline updates, and monthly performance reports to management.
