Position: Driver

Reports To: Branch Manager

Location: Kitwe/Chambishi

INFORMATION ABOUT THE POSITION

The Driver role is designed to support Delta Auto & Equipment Ltd in the safe transportation of staff, goods, and equipment. The role also involves maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing basic maintenance checks.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Safely transport members of staff, goods, or equipment.
  2. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks.
  3. Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and organisational policies.
  4. Plan and manage logistics, routes, and schedules.
  5. Ensure timely arrival and departure.
  6. Maintain accurate use of logbooks and mileage records.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license – Class CE
  • Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience
  • Ability to drive Foton Aumark light trucks, dump trucks, etc., will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations
  • Must be a resident of Kitwe (non-negotiable requirement)
