Training Officer

Job Purpose

The Training Officer is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering professional training programs to maids (trainees) to ensure high standards of cleaning services, customer care, and compliance with company procedures. The role ensures that all trainees are competent, certified where applicable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver structured training programs for maids (students) covering: Job Search Platform

Professional cleaning techniques (residential and commercial)

Use and handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals

Hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards

Customer service and  communication skills

Facilitate both theoretical and practical training sessions.

Assess trainees’ performance through practical demonstrations, tests, and continuous evaluation.

Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, and assessment reports.

Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of training materials. Communications & Media Studies

Prepare trainees for certification assessments where applicable.

Conduct refresher training and upskilling sessions for existing staff.

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards during training.

Mentor and coach trainees to improve performance and professionalism.

Collaborate with other team members on the deployment of trained maids.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Hospitality Management, Caregiving or a related field.

TEVETA Certification is Mandatory

Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in training, preferably in cleaning services, hospitality, or a related industry.

Experience in conducting practical, hands-on training is highly desirable.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong training and facilitation skills

Excellent  communication and interpersonal skills

Practical knowledge of modern cleaning techniques and equipment

Ability to assess and mentor trainees effectively

Good organizational and record-keeping skills

High level of professionalism and attention to detail

Knowledge of health and safety standards
