JOB OPPORTUNITY – AUTOMATION SUPERVISOR

Location: Kalumbila, Zambia
Job Type: Full-time
Barrick Mining Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Supervisor to join its Process Plant team. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing plant control systems while ensuring safe and efficient operations.
? Key Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, and document control system maintenance
• Maintain PLC and SCADA systems for optimal performance
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot automation and instrumentation faults
• Manage spare parts and inventory
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
• Prepare safety documentation (JSA, permits, toolbox talks)
? Requirements
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Control & Instrumentation
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience with Siemens PCS7 control systems
• Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and industrial networks
• Proficiency in CMMS systems (SAP/Pronto) and MS Office
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of safety regulations
