Purpose of the Role The Human Resources Officer will support Stargate’s operations by managing key HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and training. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR processes, be people-oriented, and demonstrate initiative in supporting both staff and management in day-to-day HR activities. Key Responsibilities 1. Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinate the full recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and reference checks. Prepare offer letters and facilitate smooth onboarding and orientation for new employees. Maintain up-to-date employee and recruitment records. 2. Employee Relations Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and workplace concerns. Assist in promoting open communication, teamwork, and a positive work culture. Support management in handling employee relations issues and documentation. 3. Performance Management Coordinate the company’s performance appraisal process and track completion. Support managers in providing feedback and follow-up on performance goals. Maintain performance-related records and documentation. 4. Training and Development Identify training needs in collaboration with supervisors and management. Coordinate internal and external training programs. Keep training records and follow up on employee development initiatives. 5. HR Administration Manage and update employee files, contracts, and HR databases. Support payroll preparation and ensure accuracy of HR-related data. Assist in drafting HR letters, reports, and other documentation as required. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Business Administration , or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic HR systems. Membership with ZIHRM will be an added advantage.
