Job description
We are looking for a qualified Human Resource Officer to support operations at our manufacturing plant in Lusaka. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing employee relations, supporting shop floor workforce needs, and ensuring smooth coordination between HR and plant operations to maintain a productive and compliant work environment. Key Responsibilities: Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures Manage and resolve employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner Support the implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards Conduct investigations and prepare reports on employee relations issues Promote a positive work culture through employee engagement initiatives Assist in performance management processes and employee development programs Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality at all times Advise management on best HR practices and risk mitigation strategies Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 3–5 years experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Strong communication and report-writing abilities High level of integrity and professionalism Must be below the age of 30. Must be registered with ZIHRM Key Competencies: Problem-solving and decision-making skills Emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive matters Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
