About the Wheel Alignment Technician Role
As a Wheel Alignment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles’ wheels are accurately aligned to optimize performance, safety, and tire longevity. You will perform detailed inspections and adjustments on front-end alignment, suspension, steering systems, and tire wear patterns. Your technical skills will support diagnosing irregularities and recommending effective solutions that improve vehicle handling.

Key Responsibilities
Perform precise wheel alignments on a variety of vehicle types, including light trucks and SUVs.
Remove and replace products on vehicles as required, ensuring proper fitment using specialized tools and equipment.
Communicate clearly with customers to explain alignment issues and suggest necessary repairs.
Accurately complete all paperwork and documentation related to services performed.
Verify correct products received from inventory before fitting to customer vehicles.
Offer and conduct complimentary product check-ups when accepted by customers.
Promote additional products and services to enhance customer experience.
Utilize computerized alignment equipment and diagnostic tools to perform adjustments and inspections.
Collaborate effectively with other technicians and service advisors to ensure smooth workshop operations.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workshop environment.
Required Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to work well within a team and contribute positively to the workshop environment.
Good numerical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities.
Sober-minded and responsible approach to work.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate in Automobile Mechanics or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in wheel alignment and tire balancing within the automobile industry.
Proficiency with computerized alignment equipment and diagnostic tools.
Comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics, including pneumatic machines.
Experience in mounting, dismounting, and rotating tires.
Ability to interpret alignment readings accurately and make necessary adjustments.
Fluency in English is essential.
Willingness to stay current with alignment technology and industry advancements.
